Progressive Democrat proposes policy to prevent exposure to deadly & addictive tobacco products.

Progressive political activist Lisa McCormick has proposed a new policy to combat the deadly effects of tobacco use, and she is not mincing words about the companies that profit from the sale of these deadly products.

McCormick's proposal is being hailed as a bold and innovative approach to preventing future generations from being exposed to the dangers of tobacco by public health officials and advocates.

"Congress should prohibit the sale of tobacco products to anyone born after June 1, 2002," said McCormick. "That would mean that almost nobody would get hooked on these addictive, cancer-causing poisons, instead of allowing corporate killers to cultivate an older crowd of victims. Americans should acknowledge that that is no good reason to start smoking, or vaping or becoming addicted to this deadly poison, and we should work to prevent it."

McCormick's policy proposes that the government set a permanent stop date for the sale of tobacco products, after which no person born can legally purchase and use these carcinogenic substances.

Struggling Americans exploited with blood money

The clear, yellowish, fluid that carries the oxygen, nutrients, plus red and white cells, plasma is about 92% water but the liquid substance has become a big business in which Americans are being exploited for blood money.

Lisa McCormick, a vocal critic of government officials who put the interests of corporations over the well-being of ordinary Americans, has expressed her outrage at the growing market for U.S. blood plasma exports.

While encouraging citizens to help save lives by donating blood, McCormick has called out government officials who allow economically struggling Americans to be preyed upon for their bodily fluids while a few large corporations reap all the benefits.

According to statistics, nearly 80 percent of the plasma centers in the U.S. are located in America’s poorer neighborhoods, where workers struggle to survive on subpar minimum wages, and many others are jobless.

Justice should not be delayed, denied, or diminished. So where is the data?

Lisa McCormick is calling on New Jersey lawmakers to require all local police departments in the state to provide accurate and timely data to the FBI.

"Recent data from the FBI's Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) Program has raised concerns about the quality of crime data in the United States," said McCormick, who noted that most New Jersey police departments failed to participate in the collection process. "The UCR program collected hate crime statistics from only about 3,000 police departments out of more than 18,000 law enforcement agencies in the country. This data covered a combined population of only about 87 million people, which is significantly less than the estimated US population of 331 million."

In New Jersey, the State Police have not updated their UCR data available for public inspection since almost two years ago. The latest information provided by the NJSP is for the end of the first quarter in 2021," said McCormick, who gained prominence by earning 38 percent of the votes cast in the New Jersey Democratic primary as a challenger in the 2018 US Senate race.

McCormick is urging lawmakers to take action to ensure that all local police departments provide accurate and timely data to the FBI.

"We need to have complete and accurate data to effectively address and combat crime in our communities," she said. "It is unacceptable that some police departments are failing to provide this critical information to the FBI."

Gottheimer and Trump caused Silicon Valley Bank collapse

Lisa McCormick blames Rep. Josh Gottheimer and former President Donald Trump for the Silicon Valley Bank collapse

Progressive New Jersey Democrat Lisa McCormick has alleged that Rep. Josh Gottheimer may have played a role in the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank.

McCormick argued that Gottheimer took campaign money from the financial industry and voted to weaken regulations that may have prevented the institution's collapse.

"According to records from the Federal Election Commission," McCormick said, "Gottheimer took nearly $6 million in campaign contributions from the financial industry since 2015, including more than $4.9 million from securities and investment interests, and he voted for a law that allowed Silicon Valley Bank to avoid tighter regulations."

She went on to criticize Gottheimer for being the only New Jersey Democrat who voted for the Economic Growth, Regulatory Relief, and Consumer Protection Act, which removed Silicon Valley Bank from the stricter regulatory landscape for financial institutions in the United States established in the wake of the global financial crisis.

"Gottheimer's vote weakened regulations on banks like Silicon Valley Bank, putting depositors and the broader economy at risk," said McCormick, who spent less than $5000 on the campaign when she earned 159,998 votes in her 2018 Democratic primary challenge to US Senator Bob Menendez.

Band-Aid on a brain tumor

In the post-World War II era, the United States experienced its greatest economic productivity and broadest improvement in the middle-class standard of living. During this period, the top tax rates were much higher than they are today, with rates as high as 91% for the wealthiest Americans.

Fast forward to today, and President Biden's FY 2024 budget proposes a slight increase in taxes for the wealthiest Americans.

The budget would raise the top tax rate to 39.6%, up from 37%, on those making more than $400,000. The budget also aims to close loopholes that allow corporations and the wealthy to avoid paying their fair share of taxes. These rates are still significantly lower than the 70% tax rates that followed President John F. Kennedy's revisions to the tax code, which resulted in a nearly miraculous economic turnaround.

Lisa McCormick, a progressive leader and advocate for working families, has called for a return to the tax rates of the post-war era to reverse the damage caused by decades of Reaganomics. McCormick argues that returning top tax rates to levels comparable to the share of government funded by corporations and wealthy individuals during the post-war years would allow us to rebuild our economy and create a more equitable society.

The debate over tax rates is not new. In fact, it has been a topic of discussion for decades. Supporters of lower taxes argue that it encourages economic growth and job creation, while those who support higher taxes argue that they are necessary to fund government programs and services.

However, the historical data suggests that higher tax rates do not necessarily lead to slower economic growth. During the post-war era, when top tax rates were much higher than they are today, the United States experienced some of its strongest economic growth and widespread prosperity.

The tax rates during the post-war era were much higher than they are today, with rates as high as 91% for the wealthiest Americans. These higher tax rates allowed the government to fund investments in infrastructure, education, and research that helped to fuel economic growth and create new opportunities for working families.

However, beginning in the 1980s, the United States began to shift toward a different economic model. This model, known as Reaganomics, was based on the idea that lower taxes and deregulation would stimulate economic growth and create new opportunities for businesses and workers.

While Reaganomics did lead to some economic growth in the short term, it also had some negative consequences. One of the most significant consequences was a widening income gap between the wealthiest Americans and everyone else. This income gap has only continued to grow in the decades since Reaganomics was first introduced.

Now, with President Biden's FY 2024 budget, there is an opportunity to reverse this trend and rebuild a more equitable society. The budget proposes a slight increase in taxes for the wealthiest Americans, but it also aims to close loopholes that allow corporations and the wealthy to avoid paying their fair share of taxes.

Lisa McCormick has been a vocal advocate for returning to the tax rates of the post-war era to create a more equitable society. McCormick argues that this would allow us to fund investments in infrastructure, education, and research that would help to fuel economic growth and create new opportunities for working families.

President Kennedy, who famously noted that "a rising tide lifts all boats," insisted his tax cuts would generate broad-based growth got Congress to stimulate the economy by passing a "liberal" agenda that included an increase in the minimum wage, expanded unemployment benefits, greater Social Security benefits to encourage workers to retire earlier and massive spending for highway construction.

By 1966 — the year that might have been the fifth of his presidency had he lived — Kennedy would have been presiding over an economy growing at a rate of 6.6 percent and an unemployment rate falling to just 3.8 percent, but the largest proportionate tax reduction from his plan went to those at the bottom of the economic ladder.

In conclusion, the debate over tax rates is not a new one, but it is an important one. As the United States continues to grapple with widening income inequality and a struggling middle class, it is important to consider the role that tax policy can play in creating a more equitable society. By returning top tax rates to levels comparable to the share of government funded by corporations and wealthy individuals during the post-war years, we can begin to reverse the damage caused by decades of Reaganomics and rebuild a more equitable and prosperous society.

Senator Robert Menendez took money from corporations that support seditious Republicans

Five years ago, Senator Robert Menendez, the chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, was nearly unseated by Lisa McCormick, who led a grassroots revolution on a $5000 budget to earn 38 percent of the votes cast in New Jersey's Democratic primary election.

One of Senator Robert Menendez's most vocal critics marked the 13th anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court’s horrendous 5-4 decision in Citizens United v. FEC on January 21, by alerting citizens that the corrupt politician took money from corporations that support seditious Republicans, and expressing her renewed resolve to eradicate the corrosive influence of money in politics.

Hundreds of corporations that were identified by Open Secrets as contributors to 'election denying Republicans' also gave money to political committees controlled by Senator Bob Menendez, according to Lisa McCormick, the progressive champion who earned nearly four out of ten votes cast when she challenged the corrupt incumbent in the 2018 Democratic primary election.

McCormick says the unethical, hawkish lawmaker is part of the corrupt political establishment in New Jersey, citing the money he collected from businesses that also gave campaign funds to the 142 members of Congress who voted against the certification of 2020 election results amid the U.S. Capitol attack on Jan. 6, 2021.

"Corporate PACs and industry trade groups steered over $66 million to election deniers during the two years since the attempted coup d'etat on Jan. 6, 2021,” said Lisa McCormick. "More than 350 of those same groups contributed more than $3 million to Senator Menendez because he is also no friend of democracy."

"If he cared at all Senator Menendez would have led efforts to repair the virtual legalization of bribery and overt cheating used by both parties such as rigging the primary ballots, gerrymandering, and the dependence of candidates on private financial support," said McCormick.

"Voter suppression is not the only way to derail democracy," said McCormick. "Senator Menendez engineered the electorate out of the picture when he used his influence to secure a seat in Congress for his son, going as far as to prevent from appearing on the ballot such qualified candidates as Law Professor Eugene Mazo and Forward Party leader Brian Varela."

Sedition supporters contributed a total of $3,345,042 to New Millennium PAC, the Leadership PAC affiliated with Senator Robert Menendez, and his campaign committee, Menendez for Senate, according to documents for both entities filed with the Federal Election Commission.

With a highly targeted grassroots campaign that refused dirty money and spent less than $5,000, McCormick earned 159,998 votes in her June 2018 challenge to Menendez — a number that put her among the top ten statewide Democratic primary vote-getters in the last quarter-century — but she still lost despite her opponent's unanimous admonishment by the US Senate Ethics Committee plus his bribery and corruption indictment by the Obama administration Justice Department.

McCormick released a comprehensive plan to eradicate the corrosive influence of money in politics prior to her 2018 campaign but no news media covered that story.

"When Americans cannot remove from public office traitors and thieves, there is something deeply broken in our political system," said McCormick.

A ‘good guy with a gun’ is 100+ to one

Jonathan Douglas Sapirman lost his job and was being evicted from his apartment, but the 20-year-old man lived in Indiana, which allowed him to legally spend his last few dollars on a couple of semi-automatic AR-15 rifles and a handgun.

At around 6 p.m. Sunday, July 17, 2022, when Sapirman fired a semiautomatic SIG Sauer M400 rifle 24 times into a crowded food court at the Greenwood Park Mall outside of Indianapolis, Indiana, he killed Pedro Pineda, 56; Rosa Mirian Rivera de Pineda, 37; and Victor Gomez, 30; in addition to wounding a 22-year-old woman and a 12-year-old girl.

It could have been much worse, since Sapirman had two rifles, a handgun and more than 100 rounds of ammo. He clearly intended to keep killing but Sapirman fell in a hail of bullets.

Elisjsha Dicken, 22, had no police training or military background and learned to shoot from his grandfather, but he was nearby and armed. He took out a Glock 9mm handgun and fired 10 times, eight of those rounds hitting Sapirman.

Jonathan Sapirman used a SIG Sauer M400 line of semiautomatic rifle to kill three people and injure two others.

Only 24 out of 434 deranged mass shooters were stopped by a bystander who shot them, which looks like a 20:1 ratio but the actual result is 130 to one when those 24 heroic incidents are matched against the death toll of mass gunmen.

A study of mass shootings showed that in 266 incidents that ended before the police arrived, the attacker stopped the attack by killing himself on 73 occasions (16%) and simply left the scene in 120 cases (26%).

The potential victims at the attack site stopped the attacker themselves in 73 cases (16%). In 49 of those, they physically subdued the attacker and only 24 cases involved a bystander or potential victim who shot the gunman.

According to the Gun Violence Archive, there were 112 Americans killed with firearms in 345 incidents spread out among 31 states in just the last 72-hour period. Another 355 people were wounded in those shootings.

The Greenwood Park Mall food court was crowded on a Sunday evening when a heavily-armed gunman emerged to wreak havoc.

Researchers with Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT) reviewed 434 shootings over 20 years.

In 73 cases, a bystander stopped the shooter before police arrived and 49 of those happened when someone physically stopped them.

Only 24 shooters were stopped when a witness shot them.

There were 3,134 people shot in the active attacks included in the analysis. Of these, 1,132 people died and 2,002 were wounded.

In the wake of recent mass shootings in which the AR-15 or its clones were used, including the attack at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, in May that killed 19 children and two teachers, President Joe Biden has called on Congress to reprise the federal assault weapons ban that expired in 2004.

The weapon used in Uvalde was legally purchased from a sporting goods store, Omar Mateen used an AR-15 that he bought legally when he killed 49 people at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, and it has been called “the weapon of choice” among deranged killers.

The following is a partial list of when an AR-15-style weapon was used in a mass shooting:

  • Feb. 14, 2018: Shooting at Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Florida leaves 17 people dead.
  • Oct. 1, 2017: The Las Vegas slaughter of 58 people.
  • Nov. 5, 2017: The Sutherland Springs, Texas, church shooting that claimed 26 lives.
  • Dec. 2, 2015: The San Bernardino, Calif., shooting that killed 14 people.
  • Dec. 14, 2012: The shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut that took 27 lives.

I've had it with Joe Biden!

I have had it with President Joe Biden.

Just 'better than Donald Trump' is not the standard for being President of the United States, so we have to find a more suitable candidate for 2024 and Democrats for Change is actively searching.
  • Biden virtually surrendered after he hit his first policy roadblock in Congress
  • Biden disgraced the US by meeting the Saudi Arabian Crown Prince who killed Khashoggi.
  • The Earth is on fire, but Biden is not doing nearly enough to stop the Climate Crisis.
Democratic establishment politicians live in a world where raising money is the only thing that matters, so they cater to the same greedy corporate overlords who fund the Republican crazy machine.

Democracy is hanging by a thread. The important question for you is: Are you going to be the Thomas Jefferson, Abe Lincoln or Bobby Kennedy of our time—or will you sit on the sidelines as the US is troubled by treason, inflation & Climate Crisis?

Our plan is simple: Recruit genuine Democrats who unapologetically stand for working families and progressive American values to replace the phony establishment politicians that currently occupy positions of power but only use it to serve the corporations and the wealthy one percent.

With candidates like you, support from grassroots donors like you, and volunteers like you, Democrats for Change will nominate Americans that not only win elections but pass the legislation they campaigned for.

There’s still so much work to do. We need to take immediate and drastic action to stop the climate disaster. We need to give all working people a livable wage so they can support their families. We need to create a health care system where everyone can receive care without going broke. We need to make it easier for working families by making CEOs and special interests pay their fair share.

We urgently need to do all this and so much more, but establishment politicians spend most of their time raising money for the next election from corporate PACs and wealthy donors and the rest of us do not get to make such decisions unless we get some of us elected to public office.

Democrats for Change is dedicated to recruiting candidates who will fight hard for working families in Washington, but we need to start planning for the 2024 election now. Only strong, consistent support from our grassroots membership can make those plans succeed.

Politics is the allocation of advantages and disadvantages over our entire society. For more than 40 years, all the advantages have gone to the very rich while almost 99 percent of us have been saddled with disadvantages.

While establishment politicians are raising money the corporate-controlled media distracts the public with loud but irrelevant controversies, the way ancient Rome entertained the masses with bread-and-circuses, gladiators, and Christian-eating lions while the empire crumbled. Nero fiddled as Rome burned but he's got nothing on Donald Trump and Joe Biden.

That is why we plan to throw the bums out. Democrats for Change is working to elect new leadership that will reverse Reaganomics and solve serious problems with the courage, character, and confidence worthy of the American spirit.

They say if you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem but today's problems are killing us, putting working families in the poorhouse and destroying our planet. Let me know if you are willing to be part of the solution.

We are not searching for people who want to run for elected office, we are looking to recruit Americans with intellect, independence and integrity who would represent working middle-class America with honor and loyalty if called upon to serve their country.
That’s why we’re asking for your recommendationsThat’s why we’re asking, if you’re able, for a contribution today. Any donation can help ensure the long-term success of our movement. That's why we are building Democrats for Change!

Lisa McCormick supports universal healthcare

Lisa McCormick's support for universal healthcare in the United States is grounded in the recognition that the current US healthcare system is known for its high costs and poor results.

Despite the fact that Americans spend more on healthcare than any other country in the world, millions of people remain uninsured or underinsured, and the quality of care is often subpar.

The United States spends more on healthcare per capita than any other country in the world, yet this does not translate into better health outcomes for the population. In fact, the US ranks lower than many other developed countries in terms of life expectancy, infant mortality, and other key health indicators.

This is largely due to the fact that the current system is highly fragmented, with many different insurers, providers, and payment systems that create inefficiencies and drive up costs.
